Hello everyone.
Here is the music from the artists and groups that have inspired me all of these years.
Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hdQi2_HzAc
It is the hard rocking vibe that I love from this song.
Isaac Hayes - Café Regios
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7BXvcSguXg
It is the first instrumental that I fell in love with as a little boy.
Johnnie Taylor - Stop Doggin' Me
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkPhpzS-wxg
The late Johnnie Taylor had that gospel tinged voice with a pinch of blues and soul.
Traffic - The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8M8R835Ck4
That group was awesome from the late 1960's and early 1970's. They had the whole package.
I hope each and every one of you will enjoy my new blog as well as listening to the people who have inspired me on a musical level. Peace.

Music Is Robert Watson... Robert Watson Is Music!!!
To all of my fans.
I want all of you to know that I appreciate all the support you have given me the last eight years. It has been wonderful. I am going to keep on doing what I am doing. I have a deep spirit inside me that does not allow me to give up. I can't give up now even if I want to. Music is how I create and breathe. Music is how I express myself.
I love music because music loves me back. It was something I gravitate as a little kid by listening to the radio or playing records on a Hi-Fi.
I think about the music I loved listening to as a kid such as Isaac Hayes, Bobby "Blue" Bland, the Jackson 5, James Brown, the Temptations, the Dramatics, Eddie Kendricks, the Isley Brothers, Earth, Wind & Fire, the Emotions, and the list goes on and on.
I also think about rock music that I loved listening to such as Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones, the Ventures, the Mamas & Papas, the Association, Black Oak Arkansas, Steppenwolf, and Rod Stewart.
The one musician I got into later was Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix opened me up to a new world of rock & roll that I have experienced before. After hearing Jimi Hendrix, I had a new appreciation for rock music as well as music in general.
There was a time I thought I would never be doing music because of fear, anxious, and nervousness because I didn't think the people would accept a black guy with autism playing music. We had blind musicians such as Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jose Feliciano, Clarence Carter, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Jeff Healy, Ronnie Milsap, and the list goes on.
By 1999, I was thirty-two when I participated in several blues jam sessions. It was a great experience that I will always treasure.
As time went on, I decided to work on my songwriting and my artistry. I've been doing it for eight years now.
In closing I will say this.... Robert Watson is music... Music is Robert Watson.
Peace, love and happiness....

Nine New Songs From My Upcoming Self-Titled Project
To all of my fans. Here are the nine songs from my upcoming self titled project.
SCROOGE: This instrumental has an early Santana influence to it. The song went through plenty of stages when I wrote it in the early 2000's. It was originally six or seven minutes longer. It sounds better as a shorter instrumental.

WHEN YOU'RE DOWN & OUT, PICK YOURSELF UP: This one is a funk rock instrumental with a slight Robin Trower influence. I was going for his "Bridge of Sighs" era for this one. It is a great one. This one also has a blues thing at the end of the song. This song went through several stages as well.

AUTISM: This is an instrumental for the loved ones who have people living with autism. I know because I have autism. I was going for a slow rock bluesy kind of groove. Plus I played some Albert King inspired licks on this one. The Mellotron choir comes from my keyboard Nord Electro 3. The same goes for the Mellotron flute too.

ROMANTIC NIGHTS: This one is a smooth jazz tour de force. It is the kind of instrumental you can slow dance to. Plus, I was thinking about lovers having romantic nights just being together and having fun.

CONSCIOUSNESS: This instrumental is a jam band tour de force with funk rock, reggae, hard rock, alternative rock, everything all roll into one instrumental.
Check out "Consciousness" by Robert Watson - http://www.reverbnation.com/robert…/…/23039537-consciousness
LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL: This one has a nice groove. This one is a must hear. I think everyone who loves instrumental music will love it. The music takes the listener to another world. It is very groovalistic.

GOOD OL' COUNTRY PEOPLE: This instrumental is a country rock flavored one. It evokes the spirit of the outlaw country rock of the 1970's. I was going for the influences of Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Jerry Reed, etc. Anyone who loves country rock or outlaw country will love this one.

OBSTRUCTION: This is another hard rock, jam band, funk rock, classic rock inspired instrumental. I came up with the title because I was thinking about what President Obama was going through in the White House having to deal with the obstruction of the Republican congress. Obstruction can mean a lot of things but you can draw your own conclusions.

S-H-E-R-R-I: This is a dedication instrumental to my sister Sherri Watson-Robinson. It has two layered rhythm guitar tracks playing through a Leslie rotating speaker plug in from my Line 6 interface. Rhythm guitar track one has the Leslie effect at a slower speed while the rhythm guitar track two has the Leslie effect at a faster speed. There are also tasteful Mellotron flute tracks in the song as well. This song closes my self titled project.
