"Future Of The World" Is Out Right Now. My Thoughts On The Songs.

Hello everyone.

"Future Of The World" came out on October 10, 2017 digitally. Here are my thoughts on the songs I wrote for "Future Of The World."

FUTURE OF THE WORLD: This is a psychedelic rock tour de force. It is a reminiscent between the Jimi Hendrix Experience 1967-1968 era to early Traffic 1967-1968 era. There are harpsichord sounds as well as organ sounds along with mellotron string sections. There is also some clean jazz octave chording and a tiny fuzz lead guitar solo. A melodic walking bass is so out of sight on this track. The rhythm guitar on the track is totally soulful at best.

MOTHER EARTH IS CRYING OUT TO US: I wrote this song nine years ago. It went through a few changes also. The tempo was different when I wrote it and it was in a different key. Anyway, the song starts with an uptempo beat. By the end of the song it goes into a mid tempo beat. Everything falls into place with this one. It sounds like good old Robert Watson. Check it out.

WAKING UP TO A STORM: The song has a mid 1970's Robin Trower "Bridge Of Sighs" vibe. The tone is very dreamy. Anyway I was trying to evoke some emotion for that song. It is more indie rock than psychedelic rock. I really love the song. I loved writing it.

COSMIC ENERGY IS IN FULL EFFECT: I was going for that Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" period where Jimi was taking his music a bit further after the first two albums. The lead guitar solo is echoed fuzz treated with studio flanging via Sonoma Wire Works RiffWorks. The rhythm guitar on the track is out of this world. The bass track is just groovin' along the way. I love it. It is a must heard song.

POSITIVE VIBES: This is a song I wrote many moons ago. It had gone through several changes as well. The version I recorded for "Future Of The World" is the best one. This one is so realized. It has everything. Psychedelic rock, jazz rock, rock & roll, etc. It is going to blow everyone's minds.

THE WORLD IS GOING CRAZY: I wrote this song ten years ago. The song went through lots of changes over the years. This one has a funk rock groove. There is a screaming octavia like lead on this one. There are monophonic synth lines as well. The organ on this track is just out of sight. The bass is walking and moving along with the groove. The rhythm guitar is funkier and soulful along with the MXR Phase 90 single note riffing. This one will blow your mind.

HYPOCRISY PART 2: When I wrote Hypocrisy nine years ago. I thought I was done with it. Then the 2016 election and everything that was going on at the end of the Obama administration. I felt it was time to do a part two of an old song that I wrote in 2008. Hypocrisy Part 2 still has the same tempo that Hypocrisy Part 1 has. I used a different key this time around. The is a walking bass track. A grittier rhythm guitar track. There are different keyboard sounds such as a mellotron tenor sax and mellotron trumpet, a mellotron male and female choir, the organ and the clavinet. I can't forget to mention the Ernie Isley inspired lead guitar track. It is so awesome. The whole track is awesome. It is definitely a must hear.

TRAVESTY: I was going for the late 1960's and early 1970's funk groove. It is a little reminiscent of Isaac Hayes' Hot Buttered Soul period. There is a piano track, an organ track, a rhythm wah wah guitar track, a walking bass track, a tremolo amp with fuzz guitar track. It is all over the place. Everyone will have to listen to it three or four times before they get it. It is awesome.

PEOPLE WANT TO SEE A CHANGE IN THE WORLD: I wrote this song nine years ago during the Bush 43 administration. This song went through some changes but most of the tempo is still the same. It is a slow rock song. It has an awesome lead guitar on the song that sounds like Ernie Isley using a flanger and big muff. I was using a Line 6 Flanger plugin as well as an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff fuzz plugin. I was using the POD farm software made by Line 6. There is plenty of organ, piano, clavinet, mellotron female and male choir as well as a monophonic synthesizer lead. I can't forget about the melodic bass lines. The instrumental is awesome. I want the listeners to be focused, relaxed and be zoned into the groove. This one is a must listen.

A MOMENT OF SILENCE: This song is a very quiet instrumental song. I used an Ovation acoustic/electric guitar, a Nord Electro 3 Seventy-Three keyboard for the mellotron flute sounds, the mellotron string section along with the mellotron male and female choir. It is a wonderful song. I needed a song to quiet the mood. We all need a moment of silence. Strange things are happening today. We sometimes forget what's really important in our lives and we need to stop and smell the roses.

I hope each and every one of you will enjoy and listen to the new release. "Future Of The World" is now available on I-Tunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon, and many other digital stores. Get your copy today.

Peace, love and happiness
